The High Road or the Low Road?

If you're wondering which career path to take after you've been a programmer for a few years - becoming a program manager or chuck it all and write software that will make you rich and improve the world as a micro-ISV - here's a great post to get a preview of the low road: "What to do when your screwed." at Rands in Repose.
